Google Business Profile for remodelers

A homeowner about to spend six figures reads your profile before they call. We set up your Google Business Profile for remodelers, keep it posting, wire the review link, and get it reinstated when Google pulls it. Remodeling companies only.

QUICK FACTS · GBP FOR REMODELERS

At a glance.

The whole engagement on one ticket. Read it in a minute, then bring us the hard questions on the call.

What it is
Full management of your Google Business Profile: claiming, verification, categories, services, service-area setup, hours, description, project photos, weekly posts, the Q&A section, the profile-side review link, and suspension reinstatement, for remodeling companies only.
Timeline
Setup and optimization land in the first week. A pulled or suspended profile we work to reinstate as fast as Google allows, which is usually days, sometimes longer.
Investment
Flat monthly management, quoted at the strategy call. A two-town design-build shop and a multi-metro remodeler are not the same job, so there is no flat price on the page. Reinstatement of a suspended profile is scoped separately.
What you get
Correct categories for kitchen, bath, whole-home, and design-build work, a service-area radius that matches where you actually build, weekly GBP posts with real before-and-after photos, monitored Q&A, a working review link, and someone who answers when Google flags the listing.
What's not included
Off-profile map-pack work (citations, NAP cleanup, geo pages), website SEO, AI-search work, Local Services Ads, and platform-wide review generation. Those live in their own silos and are wired to link, not duplicate.
Managed how
In-house, on a profile you own and stay the primary owner of. We take manager access, never lock you out of your own listing.
Who it's for
Remodelers who have a profile but no three-pack presence, got hit with a suspension, or are paying a Google guy who does nothing while the design-build firm across town outshines them on the map.
Who it's not for
Brand-new shops with no projects behind them, handyman-tier repair chasing the cheapest lead, or anyone who wants fake reviews or a fake address. We do not do either.

PROFILE-SCOPED

The homeowner reads the profile before the phone rings

Remodeling is not an emergency trade. Nobody types kitchen remodeler near me at 2am the way they type burst pipe. The homeowner planning a whole-home renovation or a design-build addition researches for weeks, then opens Google, looks at the three pins, and reads. Your Google Business Profile is what they read. If it is thin, mis-categorized, or suspended, you are off the shortlist before a form ever loads.

The tickets here are large and the buyer is nervous. A six-figure kitchen or a primary-suite gut job is a slow, careful decision, so the homeowner sits on your profile for days: how many reviews, how recent, do the photos show real finished work, do the last few reviewers mention the kind of project they are planning. A profile with no posts since last season, a General Contractor category instead of a remodeler one, or a review link that goes nowhere loses the exact jobs that pay the crew for a quarter.

We manage profiles for home-service trades only, so we know a remodeler needs a service-area setup that covers the towns and subdivisions you build in, not a storefront pin, and we know which categories and services actually put a kitchen, bath, and whole-home shop in the three-pack. One shop handles setup, categories, project photos, posts, review flow, Q&A, and reinstatement. No handoffs.

[ 01 ] THE PROBLEM

Why remodelers lose the pin

Four ways a remodeling profile goes quiet while a six-figure buyer is deciding.

01

Wrong or thin categories

A remodeler set to General Contractor never shows for kitchen, bath, and whole-home searches. Missing secondary categories cost you the design-build and specialty-remodel queries the big jobs come from.

02

Storefront pin, service-area trade

A pinned address makes Google think you serve one block. Remodelers build across towns and affluent subdivisions. Set up as service-area and the pack reaches the whole territory you work.

03

Suspended after a name or category change

Google suspends remodeling profiles for address mismatches, keyword-stuffed names, and category edits. It tends to happen right when a big consult was about to search you.

04

Nobody's posting the work

A profile that has not posted a finished kitchen since last year looks abandoned to Google and to the homeowner comparing three firms at 9pm on a six-figure decision. Silence reads as out of business.

[ 02 ] THE METHOD

What we do inside the dashboard

Everything that lives on the profile itself, handled by one shop.

A

Claim and verify

We claim, verify, and take manager access on a profile you keep owning. If verification is stuck, we work the process until the listing is live.

B

Categories and services

A remodeler primary category, plus the secondary categories and service list that pull kitchen, bath, whole-home, and design-build searches into the pack.

C

Service-area setup

We set the service area to the towns and subdivisions you actually build in, so proximity math works for you instead of trapping your reach around one address.

D

Weekly GBP posts

Finished-project posts, before-and-after photos, and financing notes that keep the listing active while a homeowner sits on a six-figure decision for weeks.

E

Q&A and review link

We seed and monitor the Q&A section and wire the profile-side review link so a happy kitchen or whole-home client can leave a review on the listing in one tap.

F

Suspension reinstatement

When Google pulls the profile, we handle the appeal and the fixes, and push to get you back in the pack as fast as they allow.

[ 03 ] THE DIFFERENCE

The Google guy versus the sign shop

Be Seen, Contractors!

Remodeling profiles, run by hand

  • Remodeler categories and a service area set to where you build
  • Weekly posts and real before-and-after photos, not a set-and-forget pin
  • Reinstatement handled in-house when Google suspends the listing
the cheap Google guy

A pin and a bill

  • Generic contractor category that misses remodeling searches
  • No posts, no photos, listing looks abandoned by mid-season
  • Vanishes when the profile gets suspended and the consults stop

What to expect on the profile

Setup and optimization move fast. Pack ranking is fed by off-profile factors too, so we stay honest about what the profile alone controls.

[ 07 ] STRAIGHT ANSWERS

What contractors ask us most.

The questions remodeling owners actually ask on the strategy call.

01Does the profile even matter for a high-ticket remodel? Nobody buys a kitchen on impulse.

The buying is not impulsive, but the shortlist still forms on the profile. A homeowner researches a six-figure kitchen or whole-home job for weeks, then opens Google, looks at the three pins, and reads the reviews and photos to decide who feels safe. If your profile is thin or you are not pinned, you are not on that shortlist.

02My profile got suspended. Can you get it back?

That is one of the main reasons remodelers call us. We handle the appeal, fix whatever triggered it (usually an address mismatch, a keyword-stuffed name, or a category change), and push to get the profile reinstated. We cannot promise a timeline because Google controls that, but we work it until it is resolved.

03Which category should a remodeler use?

A remodeler-specific primary category, then secondary categories that match the work you do, such as kitchen, bath, and whole-home remodeling and design-build. Set to General Contractor, you miss the exact searches the big jobs come from. The wrong primary is the most common reason a remodeler never shows.

04Do I have to pin my home or shop address?

No. Remodeling is a service-area trade. We set the profile up as a service-area business covering the towns and subdivisions you build in, and hide the address when it should be hidden. A visible home address is a common suspension trigger.

05Why do I need weekly posts if my jobs take months?

Because the buyer sits on your profile for weeks. A homeowner comparing three firms on a six-figure remodel is looking at your listing the whole time they decide. Regular posts with finished-project photos keep the profile active in Google's eyes and keep you looking open and busy to the customer who is still choosing.

06Will this put me in the map pack by itself?

A clean, correctly categorized, active profile is the foundation of the map pack, and many remodelers see movement once it is fixed. But pack ranking also depends on off-profile factors like citations and proximity, which live in our Local SEO silo. We tell you straight what the profile alone can and cannot do.

07Do you buy or write reviews for me?

No. We wire the profile-side review link so your real, happy kitchen and whole-home clients can leave reviews easily, and we monitor the profile. Fake reviews get profiles suspended. We do not touch them.

08Do I keep control of my own profile?

Yes. You stay the primary owner. We take manager access to do the work, and we never lock you out of a listing you own. If we ever part ways, the profile stays yours.
